M/Y TUEQ, 71m

PrivatSea Projects accomplished the delivery of the 71m M/Y Tueq in two years, from May 2000 to June 2002. Despite the size of Tueq and her large engines, the noise and vibration levels achieved are considerably lower than the recommended by Lloyds guidelines and she is probably one of the most quiet yachts. She was featured in Super Yachts vol14 , where an article describes her in full detail.

Tueq is built to accommodate 26 people in the owner's party, attended by 21 crew and 7 staff, and is a private world away from the world, conceived and built with the utmost professionalism by a highly skilled and dedicated PrivatSea Projects team.

Such a large vessel as Tueq calls for propulsion and auxiliary machinery on a commercial rather than yacht scale. Accordingly the main engines are Wartsila diesels of 3,600hp each while the three MAN/Leroy Somer generators supply 480kW each - enough energy in total to power a small town! Although the Wartsila engines would normally be found in commercial or military vessels, in this case they have been beautifully prepared with white-enamelled blocks and chromed cylinder covers so that they positively gleam in the spotless engine room.

The owner's of Tueq, entrusted in PrivatSea Projects the complete re-design and modification of the sun deck in 2005.
